With a production palate that calls on the scope and fluidity of Dj Shadow, the jazz of Mile Davis and the soundscapes of cLOUDDEAD, think somewhere between EL-P (but less harsh) and Rjd2 (but darker) and you might be getting close to the abstract hip hop beauty that is Buck 65……

Buck 65 has just released a new album, Talkin’ Honky Blues, his seventh in fact. It follows Square, Synesthesia, Man Overboard, Vertex, Language Arts, & Weirdo Magnet.
Buck’s got a bit of grey in the beard & walks a bit slower, but he smells unbelievably good. He claims it’s natural. Stewed in his own juices & sprawled on the floor in dementia, this hayseed should be restrained.
