As anyone who saw Maximo Park on their Australian tour in 2005 knows this band are one hell of a live proposition. They wowed audience after audience with performances that were packed from start to finish with sheer energy & unmitigated verve, touring for 2 years solidly off the back of their landmark debut album A Certain Trigger , a record that was certainly going to be pretty hard to top.

But, without a doubt, they have topped it in the form of the brand new album, Our Earthly Pleasures , a more taut, muscular & thrilling proposition, produced by the wonderful Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, The Pixies), & featuring the new single Our Velocity . This is an album that has vigour and attitude. The songs are sharp, clever, addictive, and they sound fantastic played loud. After two years of live experience, the result is a tightly knit, collaborative display of powerful musicianship lightened by Maximo Park ’s familiar brand of catchy song structures.
