Australian Tour February 2011
Blowing in from Oxford, UK, Stornoway are a five piece of songsmiths, scientists and men of the earth. Having been announced as part of the Laneway (http://www.lanewayfestival.com.au/) festival, which sold out its Melbourne and Sydney events in record time, we are very proud to present two exclusive Stornoway sideshows, on their first ever trip to Australian shores.
The band’s debut album “Beachcomber’s Windowsill”, lead by critically acclaimed first single “Zorbing”, is a labour of love, of extraordinary beauty, that is by turns fiery, wistful and exuberant. The charming brand of quintessential pop, steeped in pastoral hues has won them fans across the globe, and Australian audiences finally getting the chance to witness their blissful timeless balladry this February.
“The most marvellous thing we’ve seen in ages… not one song was less than lovely and they immediately became Our New Favourite Band” The Guardian“Stornoway’s debut has cult folk favourite written all over it” Rip It Up“Inexplicably beautiful” Beat
