Formed by Isle of Wight natives Paul Butler & Aaron Feltcher over their love of lashings of hammond organ, a great big bassline, a dirty old guitar riff, a sweet harmony & someone off in the distance having a ball with an old pee-yanner, The Bees are, for all of their 60s influences, actually a startlingly contemporary act. With an urgent rawness & ardour, & an infectiously chaotic nature wrapped up in whip-smart pop package, The Bees use their willingness to reach back to craft something completely new & distinct, & have become worldwide favourites through such contagious radio hits as “Wash In The Rain” & “Chicken Payback” from their Free The Bees album.
